Staffordshire Moorlands Community Lottery celebrates its first £25,000 JACKPOT win!

Staffordshire Moorlands Community Lottery is delighted to announce the news of its first jackpot winner who has scooped £25,000.

Since launching, over £28,000 has been raised for our local communities. Staffordshire Moorlands Community Lottery is an online sustainable fundraising solution provided by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council with, believe it or not, no upfront costs. It’s designed to help local not-for-profits to diversify their fundraising streams and enable year-round fundraising in a safe, fun and effective way.

There are over 65 registered causes to choose to help with your ticket purchase. The chosen cause receives 50% of the £1 ticket with an additional 10% going to further support the local community. There are weekly cash prizes to be won up to the value of the £25,000 jackpot and with 50:1 odds of winning a prize you’ll find a bit of fun at the same time as knowing you’re really helping your local community.

Our lucky jackpot winner who supported Leek Community Children’s and Baby Library CIC said, “ It was a lovely surprise, no plans yet. My second win in 12 months, well worth a go!”

The Leek Community Children’s and Baby Library CIC work in direct support of families in need across Leek and the Staffordshire Moorlands.

They operate as a Baby Bank and try their best to ensure all vulnerable families have access to essential items including but not limited to safety items, essential equipment such as cots/prams, clothes, toys, milk and so much more.

Players can buy a ticket and support the local community. There are currently 69 registered causes to choose from when purchasing your tickets. The chosen cause receives 50 per cent of the £1 ticket, with an extra 10 per cent going to further support the local community.
